The Financial Advisor

About The Author

Although I have been a financial advisor since Feb. 2006, I still pursue some other interests.

I moonlight as a DJ at a country/western nightclub in Tacoma.  I have been doing this off and on since I went back to college in the mid ’90’s.  I also still help out with friends home improvement projects–a throwback to my old life as a construction contractor.

I like to golf, play poker, read, watch movies, and hang out with friends.

When it comes to politics, I call myself a classical liberal.  Sometimes I use the term Constitutionalist.  Basically, I believe in the ability of people to pursue their own future and the prosperity of their family.  The largest obstacle to such pursuit is the state.  Outside of some basic public services (police, fire, public health) and those obligations delineated in the Constitution (national security, interstate/international trade, courts, etc.), the government should get out of the way.

I have a BA from the University of Washington.  History (U.S.) was the area of study.  I am a United States Marine.  I served in the reserves from 1991 to 1999 and acheived the rank of Sergeant.  I am also a member of the Delta Upsilon Internation Fraternity.
